We are extremely proud to announce the publication of three papers in the Lancet journals last week.

Congratulations to the EMBARC project in India who have published the first report from the Indian bronchiectasis registry, the largest national dataset for bronchiectasis in the world. The study found remarkable differences between bronchiectasis in India compared to Europe and the United States. This has grabbed the attention of media and scientific community worldwide with a very positive response. The findings were published in the Lancet Global Health.

A second EMBARC paper saw Dr Jose Altenburg lead a meta-analysis on the use of macrolides in bronchiectasis patients while another meta-analysis on inhaled antibiotics was simultaneously published in the Lancet Respiratory Medicine and led by EMBARC fellow Irena Laska.
